Course Overview

First Ideas to Real-World Impact.

Studio Zero is a next-generation architecture learning hub designed to make architectural education accessible to aspiring designers. Through guided lessons, digital modeling tutorials, and hands-on design challenges, students gain the knowledge and creative skills to transform their ideas into meaningful architectural solutions.

The curriculum is structured into three progressive phases, taking students from exploring the fundamentals of architecture to developing an original design of their own.

Phase 1: Discover the Foundations

Build an understanding of architecture through introductory lessons covering architectural history, building foundations, architectural sketching, and design principles. Students explore how buildings function, how spaces are shaped, and how thoughtful design influences the way people experience their surroundings.

Phase 2: Learn the Tools of Design

Bring architectural concepts into the digital world through guided tutorials in Tinkercad, SketchUp, and Rhino 3D. Students develop their 3D modeling skills, experiment with different forms, and learn to communicate architectural ideas through digital designs.

Phase 3: Design for Change

Put everything into practice through one comprehensive, community-centered architectural project. Students identify a problem within their neighborhood, explore who it affects, and develop an original design solution. From research and initial concepts to architectural sketches, digital renderings, and a physical scale model, students experience the entire design process from beginning to end.

The Final Outcome

By the end of Studio Zero, students will have developed the foundation, technical skills, and creative confidence to approach architecture with purpose. More importantly, they will have created an original architectural project that responds to a real-world need and demonstrates how thoughtful design can make a difference in the communities around them.

No prior architecture experience is required. Just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to build something new.
